A country washbasin is
a great investment. You can have hot water for your shower or bath whenever you
want it. It gives the opportunity to install a hot water tank and extract hot
water yourself, saving you money from paying an expensive hot water bill.
Country washbasins have a high capacity in relation to the number of people
using it, so you can use it without any problem and if you do not have enough
space in your bathroom you can always extend the wash basin to accommodate more
people.
A country washbasin
consists mainly of a moidodyr tank, which is placed inside the basin to hold
water. The water is drawn from the moidodyr via the mains pipe. The most common
type of moidodyr tanks is those that are made of cast iron. Cast iron tanks are
expensive but if you want something less expensive you can always look at steel
ones, they are also popular and you can still find some of them with beautiful
porcelain handles. Washbasins with porcelain handles will tend to be heavier,
which is why most washing machines and dishwashers prefer to use the steel
ones.
In rural areas where
there is no mains water supply the use of a septic system is common. The
country washbasin has a drain tap attached to the drain pipe. The hose attached
to the washstand then reaches to the drain basin through the drain tap. Most
washstands and the mooring boat have a fixed hook-up to the main sewer line,
while a number of houses have a movable hook-up which is fixed on the surface
of the wash basin.
Country wash basins
generally have a single septic tank. The septic tank is larger than the tank in
most homes, and it sits under the wash basin. Since it is larger than the tank
in most households, it is more difficult to fill the tank. There are two types
of filling the washbasins, one being the heated wash basin filler, the other
the unheated kind.
Heated fillers are used
in warmer climates where the soil tends to stay wet for longer durations. If
you live in one of these places then you can buy a heated washing machine or
heater from a plumbing supplies company. These are normally equipped with a
holding tank which has the heating unit built into it. The tank holds the heat
required to heat the water needed to fill the basin, and this is connected to a
thermostat which controls the heat output of the heating unit.
An unheated version of
the heated fillers can be bought as a single unit and then connect it to your
existing sink via a connection fitting. Once you have fitted your new pump you
will need to connect the hot and cold feeds to your drainpipe system using your
existing pipes. Once your drainpipe is filled you should connect the existing
wash basin to the drainpipe using a long threaded drainpipe. This pipe is
usually referred to as a 'bucket' as it resembles a bucket with two handles on
the side of the bucket. To connect the hot and cold feeds to the washbasin, you
just need to connect the bottom handle to the warm feeding pipe, and the other
handle to the cold feeding pipe.
